Royal Canin Hairball Care is the ideal maintenance diet for adult cats who struggle with excessive hairball formation.

Since cats (particularly indoor cats) spend a large portion of their day grooming, they can swallow large quantities of hair. This ingested hair can become compacted in the digestive tract. Here it forms hairballs which are either regurgitated or eliminated through the faeces.

This precisely balanced nutritional formula helps reduce the formation of these hairballs.

Royal Canin Hairball Care forms part of the Feline Care Nutrition range and offers the following:

Composition
A specific blend of dietary fibres. It includes psyllium (rich in mucilage) and insoluble fibres to help naturally stimulate intestinal transit.

Natural Elimination
As a consequence, hair swallowed daily can be eliminated in the faeces rather than building up in the stomach and being regurgitated.

Proven Results
The exclusive use of this formula is effective after 14 days. After this time it doubles* the amount of hair that is eliminated naturally in the faeces.

Introducing your pet to a new diet should ideally be done gradually over 7 days to avoid the possibility of digestive upset. We suggest the following:

Days 1-2
Mix 75% old food with 25% new food.

Days 3-5
Mix 50% old food with 50% new food.

Days 6-7
Mix 25% old food with 75 % new food.

Day 8
You can now feed your pet 100% of the new food.
